Tessa, social robot
Tessa, a social robot supports the daily structure and gives suggestions for activities. Activation is where it runs. With text and music.
Central place in the house
Tessa is a social robot that pronounces the next scheduled appointment or task. It supports the daily structure and gives suggestions for activities.
The social robot stands at a central location in the resident's house and pronounces the day programme. The program of the day is as simple as a diary. As a family member, carer or caregiver you write a message and select the time when Tessa should report it. You can schedule a message at any time, from any location and when it suits you.
Dementia phase 2 and 3
People who exercise enough are less likely to develop dementia. Especially people who already have dementia, exercise is very good. Activation is what it's all about. Besides text, this is also possible with music. the desktop robot plays personal music at scheduled moments.
Tessa is mainly intended for people with dementia, phase 2 and 3, who still live at home. Informal carers or family members are able to use a handy app to regularly have the tinybot statements made via a calendar function or a direct message to speak. The messages can be very diverse, possibly initiated by home automation with the main goal of activating people with dementia in this phase.
NB There is no mutual communication.
